Come and see our innovative products at Rail Live 2021

A selection of our composite and engineered plastic solutions for the rail industry is being showcased at the Rail Live 2021 exhibition this week.

Our stockist Scott Parnell will be there displaying ARCOSYSTEM®, the robust yet lightweight elevated cable management system that can span six metres between support posts. The newly designed size 2+, allowing for increased cable carrying capacity, will be available to view, as will the new Size 0 which is built to house data cables in a shallower troughing. The system, designed by our Swiss partners Castioni Kabelführungssysteme, also comes with a bespoke range of bracketry for a variety of elevated cabling solutions — the full selection of which will be on display.

Visitors to the exhibition will also be able to see the pioneering post mix TECHNO-CRETE®, the eco-friendly alternative to concrete for securing fence posts, signage and elevated troughing in place. TECHNO-CRETE®, developed by Strucsol, is a two-part, high-density hydrophobic polyurethane based upon a blend of reprocessed oil from the catering industry and sustainably grown rape seed oil. Once mixed, the blend foams to form a structurally robust, solid foam. When using TECHNO-CRETE® instead of cement-based concrete in 1,000 holes, 300 x 600mm diameter, over 10 tonnes of CO2 emissions are saved from entering the atmosphere, the equivalent of over ten return flights from London to New York.

Also on show will be the all-composite fencing system TouchSAFE®. Delivered in full panels to reduce installation time, TouchSAFE® provides a strong and non-conductive barrier for the safe containment of electrical equipment on rail applications such as substations, LOC suites, and OLE masts.

Finally, visitors will also get to see a prototype of a composite ballast board, an exciting new development in the range.
